After spending 20 minutes finding a way to contact customer service, I found that they are only accessible via social media platforms. Not only is that poor customer service, but it's also extremely unprofessional. The response I received was extremely inadequate for the problem I had, mostly due to the fact that I've been communicating with only a robot. I purchased the Paramount Plus with Showtime, but I've still yet to be able to access any Showtime shows. When requesting a refund, I was denied even though I never received the services I paid for.

Film of a future climate thriller

The translation of the story (and of this text) has been made by ChatGPT and may therefore not be the best possible translation.

I am sending this story because I believe it is suitable for adaptation into a film, partly due to its tension and topicality.

The genre is classified as a fictional future thriller.

About the story:

The setting is the fictional city of Warnar on the northern hemisphere of our planet in a near or distant future. As a result of climate change and disastrous global warming, a wide strip around the equator has become uninhabitable. An unprecedented stream of refugees is moving northward. In the city of Warnar, the problem of overpopulation is becoming increasingly acute.

The protagonist, Hans Minglot, works for the city as an employee of the Population Planning service and has been observing this increase in the population for years.

However, in recent months, the trend has been broken, and the population is inexplicably decreasing. After conducting research together with his friend, the scientist Peter Kinsel, and Peter's colleague chemist Linda Wesie, he comes to a startling explanation for this decline. The struggle that follows against government agencies seems to end (at least in this first part of the trilogy) with fatal consequences for the trio.

I hope that the story will appeal to you and that you will consider exploring the possibilities for adaptation into a film (or series).

Impression

The truck jolts dangerously on the unpaved road.

The four occupants are tossed back and forth in their seats. Due to the strong wind constantly blowing desert sand over the road, visibility is extremely poor. Josh tries to keep his focus on the road under these difficult conditions; he doesn't want to veer off the road again and get stuck in the loose sand. During the journey, which they have now covered 95 kilometers of, this has already happened three times.

They have to get out of the truck into the blazing sun to dig the wheels out with shovels. After laying down ramps, the vehicle can get back on the road. It's a tough job that you don't want to do too often. The three men and the woman left their camp early that morning for the city.

They hope to find food there at the southern border. From private initiatives, loads of canned food are often left at the border. The vehicles with which the people from the city travel are programmed to fly to the border. Security forces patrol the southern border but turn a blind eye to camp residents picking up the packages.

However, entering the city is not allowed. The quartet's camp is about 300 kilometers from the city. "Josh, shall I take over the steering wheel for a while? You've been squinting into that storm for two hours now," says Will, who is sitting in the passenger seat.

"No, really not necessary. I can still focus well," replies the driver.

The two passengers in the back, Katie and Stef, sway with the movements of the truck, frequently brushing against each other. Stef apologizes each time; Katie responds to his apology with a smile. They're not a couple, but they don't mind the touches at all.

In fact, Stef hopes for another strong jolt. He finds the physical contact with Katie quite pleasant. "We're lucky with the weather. The sun has fully charged the batteries," Josh says to Will.

The journey continues smoothly.

After four hours, they see the oasis strip in the distance. This strip, twenty kilometers wide, is an artificially created green area with grasses and trees, which the city government had constructed to hold back the desert. Some residents of Warnar have small-scale farming and horticultural projects here to support themselves. The truck's occupants wave to the people in the fields and stop to load vegetables lying along the roadside.

Katie and Stef take care of this task and then, as a sign of gratitude, give a thumbs-up to the farmers. The southern border of the city comes into view after crossing a needle forest. An open stretch of barren ground announces the approach of the city. Low buildings are visible in the distance.

Gunports betray the presence of security groups. With their laser guns, they monitor the border area. The quartet in the truck scans the area in front of the buildings, searching for food packages. "There, on the left," Katie shouts, pointing a finger toward a black heap.

As the truck approaches, the size of the heap becomes clear.

It's a stack of quite a few packages. Katie lets out a cry of excitement. They must be food packages. Will, who has been driving the truck for the last three hours, stops the vehicle a few meters away from the stack.

Stef, Katie, and Josh walk over to it and see that it's cans of meat substitute foods. "Come on, guys, quickly load everything. We'll check what's inside when we get home," urges Stef.

As they go to pick up the first boxes, they suddenly recoil. Small piles of sand shoot up from the ground in front of them.

These are warning shots from the guards. The trio knows this happens but is startled every time. It's a sort of game the men in the buildings play to frighten the camp people. They have a competition to see who can make the sand shoot up closest to the people.

After everything is loaded, the truck cautiously drives back over the barren plain to the green strip. After gathering some more vegetables along the way, the four head back to the camp. Darkness has fallen, and to Josh's relief, who has now taken back control of the steering wheel, the wind has died down, and his view is no longer obstructed. Katie has fallen asleep on the back seat, her head resting on Stef's lap.

With a blissful feeling, he strokes her brown curls.

In command tower 13 at the southern border of Warnar, the tranquility has returned, only the soft hum of the air conditioner is audible. Moments ago, the silence was abruptly broken: "Full house," shouts the man named Ron Polter as he violently throws his cards in front of him. He has risen from his seat and slams his hand flat on the wooden table. Coffee mugs clatter.

After losing five rounds of poker, this victory tastes sweet.

As he shuffles and deals the cards at the start of the next game, the silence is disturbed again. "I see something in the distance... I think it's a black truck," someone shouts. The four card players jump up, grab their laser guns, and quickly take their positions at the windows.

Ron Polter is one of them. After training in Security, he is stationed here at the border of Warnar. He hopes not to have to do this monotonous work for long. But for now, he must be vigilant.

A truck approaches from the open plain, and he can clearly see the four people inside. Three of them get out. "Who's going first?" "I am, I have them in my sights," calls Stan Donker, a red-haired man in his thirties.

He aims his gun at the people, who are now walking towards some food packages in the open field. A puff of sand splatters just in front of the three people in the distance.

"About two meters, I think," says Stan, looking in the direction of the trio.

"Now me," shouts Ron, "I'm going for one meter."

As he takes aim, he feels a sharp pain. Then everything goes black.

I received the order but one of the items was wrong its not what I purchased this is an ongoing problem with Xpluswear. I am always spending a lot of money. Make no mistake the have nice styles and the quality is good but I cannot deal with the stress when you have to return or in this case they send the wrong item. I have been trying to change my password for the longest while but I do not know where they are sending the code. I received every email from them except the code to change. Im fed up.

I call customer service she said it shows Im getting showtime it may show it but when I try to watch it it tell me to up grade to watch from a 5.99 to a 119 to get it its says I took out the 11 one for both I also restarted it to see if that will help and log out it didnt help I had cancel before and thought I would try again its doing same thing so I cancel it again I even checked my bank account and the 11 for both this and showtime package was paid out of my account Im not paying anymore what I didnt get . The customer service told me try login in and out reset everything I did and didnt work I could record and prove to you its not not working right but why should I have to keep going through this . Not working today either I just tried to see if maybe it took a week to work no showtime still

Absolutely nothing. Complained to Facebook, Paramount Plus customer support, phone. No response. Tried rebooting, turning the TV off and on, tried a 2nd TV with a different Fire Stick, called the provided phone number. The TV show said it was streaming and yet it wasn't.

I started with Paramount Plus a few months ago and it was going fine, then a month ago issues with connecting and viewing movies started. I have been able to watch it maybe once a week.

Most days the movie will not be available, some days Paramount Plus won't even start up - sometimes the initial blue welcome screen stays on and on and on, or if I am lucky enough to get to resume the movie, it just won't start up and I get a black screen that never hooks up. Sometimes it says the movie is not available. I have tried tech support, but wasn't able to handle the problem and it was wasting too much of my time. I cancelled the service yesterday but they charged me for another month.

I called the customer service number on this 'pissed customer' site and he tried to get me to stay, offering 2 free months, but if I can't view it when I'm paying, I certainly won't be able to when it's free. I declined and am getting a refund.
